We started the week by playing a few games to get to know each other a little better. We wrote our names and then had to think of things related to the sea or beach which contain the same letters. We then turned this information into a poster. After the break we watched a few minutes of a documentary about sea animals and had to identify what animals we had seen. In the final part of the class we created our own version of Top Trumps, a card game from England, using the animals we had seen earlier.
We played a few games to practise the vocabulary from yesterday and then did an experiment using cornflour and water. We had to predict what we thought was going to happen and then write up how we did the experiment. We then learnt the words to the Spongebob Squarepants introduction and had to explain one episode using a storyboard template.
Yesterday we went to the aquarium and saw lots of cool things including piranhas, sharks and penguins! We talked a lot as we walked around looking at all of the different things on offer.
Today we started by recapping what we had learnt the other day and playing a game. After this we learnt another song, this time Seaside by the kooks, and practised it for the presentations. We then created our own version of a Spongebob Squarepants episode.
Today we started with some games as always to wake everybody up! After this we perfected our presentations and then made slime using glue, detergent and food colouring. To finish we did our presentations!
