Welcome to our Week 4 afternoon class!
Today we learned all about the 5 senses: taste, touch, sight, sound and smell. We did a matching activity to practice them and then played a game to describe what we see, smell, taste, touch and hear in different places, including Oxford House, our homes, the beach and the mountains. Then we did some experiments to find things to touch that were soft, smooth, scratchy and bumpy. We also did a sound experiment with plastic bag explosions!!
Today we finished our 5 senses experiments and did a taste test, smell test and sight test! We had loads of fun and then talked about different things we see in the sky, including the moon, stars and constellations. We tried to guess some well known constellations and then invented our own. We made our own constellation cards that we´ll finish tomorrow.
Today we learned about color combinations and made a disappearing color wheel!
Today we tested our senses again by making play doh! We used shaving cream and flour and felt it change from smooth and soft to bumpy and hard! We made some figurines and finished preparing our presentations for tomorrow.
Today we colored our play doh sculptures and made paper star hangers! We practiced our presentation and did a great job with our experiments! Have a great weekend everyone
