Today we started with an A-Z alphabet challenge where you worked as a team to think of as many sports as you could.
Then we played a sport spelling game and I gave you each a Star Behaviour chart.
Then we did a mini classroom hunt for the sports equipment and then you completed a sports worksheet.
To finish we did the balloon relay quiz.
Today we played hangman to review the sports vocabulary. Then we made yoga mats and did Yoga for kids. It was called Adventures of Super Stretch. The whole class enjoyed the stretching and felt very relaxed afterwards. We also played Sleeping Lions to test who could stay still for the longest.
After this the older kids played ‘What are they doing?’ to practice the present continuous and the little ones coloured in drawings of dancers and footballers.
Next we started designing the uniform for our Extreme Sports we are inventing with Alana in the morning. These will be shown at the presentation.
Today we started class by playing heads down thumbs up, a guessing game where we use language of deduction e.g. it could be, it might be etc.
Then we continued designing our sports uniform. In the afternoon we began painting our t shirts which we will continue tomorrow.
Today we continued painting and then we spent the afternoon inventing a famous athlete for open doors presentations.
Today we finished our athlete and practiced our presentations for open doors so it was perfect!
