We started off the week by playing a few games and doing a bit of trivia to see what we knew about geography. After this we put oursleves into a role playing situation in which we found ourselves trapped on a desert island! To finish the day we had to write a tabloid newspaper report about the incident.
We revised the vocabulary that we had learnt about the day before and then watched a short video about the hospitality industry. We learnt about the differences between human and physical resources and talked about the most popular examples in The UK and Spain. We then created a pamphlet for a new type of tourism in Barcelona; namely eco-tourism and immersion experiences.
Today we went to Museu Blau in the Forum area of Barcelona. We divided into two groups and looked at the main section and the exposition which contained dinosaurs. Once we had finished the museum and learnt a few new things we chatted!
First of all we talked about dangers that you can find in the wild. We then conducted an experiment using cornflour and water to demonstrate how quicksand works. We had to do some research and then explain our findings. To finish we had to learn about other natural disasters or situations and how to survive.
We started by playing a few games to wake everytbody up! After this we worked on our presentations, deciding what we were going to say, creating images to go with our presentations and practising! To finish off the week we did a general knowledge quiz!
