Today we started the class by playing a few ice breaker games to practise our English, have a few laughs and make us feel more comfortable. After getting to know each other we then moved on to the topic of the Romans and in particular looked at their dinner parties. We watched a short video and looked into what they used to do and eat. It was pretty strange!! To finish the class we created our own Roman style invitations. Well done class!!
Today we started by talking about Egypt and then had to build a pyramid using limited materials. We then had to design a new wonder of the world using the materials we had and also write a justification for why it represents the 21st century. After this we learnt about food in Ancient Egypt before creating our own Egyptian style ready meal.
Today we went to the Mammoth museum and learnt all about prehistoric animals. We practised our English, asking and answering questions and finished with a few fun games to round off the day.
Today we started by looking at some pictures of paleolithic people and talking about what their life was like. We then considered the difference between a regular healthy diet and a ‘Paleo’ diet. We then watched an interesting speech from a doctor about the truth behind Paleo diets and what we can learn from them. To finish the class we started preparing our presentations for tomorrow.
